Setting Up VoIP with Asterisk

The course is intended for those who are considering or are about to install an Asterisk system.

At the end of the course attendees should be able to set up and manage an asterisk PBX. They will have enough knowledge to configure extensions and connect to ordinary exchange and ISDN lines and to the internet.

The course contains a mix of presentations and hands-on workshops. Each delegate will have their own workstation on which to carry out an Asterisk server installation and test their own configuration in conjunction with a variety of IP phones and ATA's including models from Snom and Linksys.

No previous experience of the Linux environment, Asterisk or VoIP is required. Some familiarity with a web browser and text editor would be helpful.
